Definitely. In my experience, though, it needs to be similar effort from both parties for that to work. Like, I'm still in a fantasy football league with my HS buddies, but we don't talk/text all that much because I got sick of being the only one to do it.

It's easier if you end up staying in the same general area. I moved states away, and it really makes it tougher to keep close. Still text occasionally and see each other when we can, but you have to have commitment from both sides to do more than that when you are 8+ hours away.

I think one of the major pluses to baseball is that it has the best season - starts right when the possibility of spring is most exciting, continues through the summer months, then ends in the brisk start of fall.

Certainly a better idea than using his other name for a costume...

Thought the same thing too.

Also, on the Sunday in which it would have been MOST APPROPRIATE EVER for Carrie to sing to us about how we're all waiting all day for Sunday night, NBC denies it from us.

Related rant - the Super Bowl needs to start at like 3 or 4 PM Eastern.

Kinda wish they would have signed Suarez...

I'm telling myself there's no way they traded the entire 3B depth chart w/out a plan, but it's hard to see a viable one. If they still had Peralta I'd assume a trade for a big leaguer 3B, but at present, I'm actually rooting for the "F&@$ it, let's put Jesus Made in the bugs and roll the dice!"

It's either "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" Or "have you looked at your mesh quality yet?"

And no, I'm not a cable technician

I'm generally able to get near 900 or so on these and feel like I'm pretty knowledgeable on geography. I am worried for those of you (like you HSR) that consistently get over 95 on every single one of these locations... 😂

We need to talk to the rules committee, because teachers who teach longer than 25 years should DEFINITELY be in the Double Bonus. 🫡

Came here to post the same!

I mean, I can see it

Perhaps this is an example of something that maybe does not need to be shared with the internet? 😂

My regular old Christmas lights are still up because I was busy in early January and it's been icy and snowy on the roof ever since. I haven't had to actually take them down in the snow for years, but may have to risk it this year if the cold pushes to February.

I agree 100% and I pray fervently that you are right.

I’m happy it worked out for you and the boy!

Those of us who work from home would really appreciate it if they can finish the building repairs for good tomorrow…

If this was snow without arctic cold as well, I might be saddened, but SE Michigan snow removal procedures are not prepared for this level of Northwoods-style snow + bitter cold. I'm just fine with it missing us.

Of course, Tennessee is even LESS prepared, so huge sympathy for all those affected.

CJ Stroud might be studied for years to come. How on earth are you so good as a rookie QB, and then just seemingly forget how to ball with every subsequent year. It's mystifying (though I admittedly have watched approximately no Texans film personally).
January 18, 2026 at 9:58 PM
To be fair, Stroud was actually pretty good that game, especially considering he was under siege from a dominant Dline (so that part should be familiar for him).

Had he played like this, Michigan might have hung a hundred on em.
