"tyrannosaurus rex" is kinda one of the craziest called shots of all time if you think about it some dude in 1905 was like 'this was definitely the most badass dinosaur so I will name it as such' and 120 years of research and new discoveries keeps proving him right.

for those asking if I think there should be a limit on how many categories a game can be nominated for: no, dummy, if different departments produce exceptional work it would be incredibly unfair not to acknowledge them individually/shut up, enjoy the rare blessing that is a game being THAT good

The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.

I'm seriously considering jumping to Linux permanently. Windows has become a big pain in the ass for me in recent years and really the only machine where i NEED to use Microsoft's proprietary software is my working laptop. For my other devices, i just game or do basic offimatic/web browsing tasks.

Short and sweet, Metal Eden is the second current gen title i've beaten this year (the other one being Doom: The Dark Ages) and it's good to see more games trying to balance good 'ol movement FPS fun with cutting edge visuals. The story and lore are surprisingly decent as well.

They are, and they are being compensated to create new content. The plan is to have them form the base of a new team that will create new expansions for other classic Nightdive titles games 😏
For clarity, I assume that these devs have been/will be compensated for these excellent add-ons? I see people upset about the mods being otherwise free, but it appeared to me that their devs were being brought on in an official capacity.
