there is a certain strain of progressive that spends far too much time on the internet and not enough time speaking to normal people who have normal jobs and run businesses and it really fuckin shows sometimes. their sense of perspective and understanding has just been sandblasted away.

I cannot express how much I agree with this sentiment.
This site has a major "Blue MAGA" issue. People have been so jaded by this year that they talk to each other with extremist language similar to what I saw on X before I abandoned it for its negatively.
People need to regain sanity to heal.
