Alright so cool lookin jailer dude from Bloodborne here, but I'm trying to get him in low poly form. This is a good start but not the actual pose I want him in. I'll most likely have to learn rigging or something like that. Not sure if I texture now or later but I'll figure that out.

Darn, I like the original details I did, but I it's harder to convert to pixel art because it has Bloodborne "realism" rules to follow. This smaller cartoon style (like Dungeons of Dreadrock) allows for more freedom to reimagine the Bloodborne stuff my own way probably, but I'll decide later.

It always makes me happy even if just 1 artist finds value in my art tips, but yeah it's true, overlay coloring saves a lot of time and it's one of the key takeaways from the blog.

A made a blog tutorial on pixel art mockups! I think the my tips included would be very useful for a lot of pixel artists. I started 2 new mockups but completed a total of 3 this December using the methods I talk about so I hope you have a read.

Mom watched a video of animals walking in a parade and said "Look at these animals parading!😃" I said sorry mom but it's probably fake. She said "No it's real!" (title said it's real). I asked her how many legs does a peacock have? She said 2, then I pointed at a 4 legged peacock. We were laughing!😆

My favorite tip for creating pixel art mockups of your favorite games is: take a game as reference, but don't copy every little detail for a few reasons:
1. It becomes less fun and more difficult to draw the mockup
2. It doesn't always translate well.
3. You can add your style!

It's crazy what we can draw in a week or less with just Aseprite, a mouse, and enough free time. I never got into drawing on paper. I don't practice with pencils or pens. No paint brushes. I just only ever use Aseprite and a mouse, starting around 2017 I think, because I wanted sprites for a game.
