NEW — After putting all Institute of Museum & Library Services (IMLS) employees on administrative leave Monday, I'm told DOGE is canceling congressionally-appropriated grants to state libraries across the entire country. Libraries are getting notice that funding was canceled as of 4/1.

Good news on a Monday morning.
JUST IN: A federal judge in Texas (George HW Bush appointee) has barred Texas A&M's board from canceling a drag show on campus.

Trump's executive order "cannot override First Amendment protections," she rules.

"Draggieland" will go on March 27.

This is horrifying! Family members of some of the people sent to do hard labor in a Salvadoran prison by Trump confirm their loved ones weren't members of a gang.

One woman said her brother got a tattoo of a rose in Dallas, and because of that they accused him of being a gang member.

My God.
Posting tonight ti shine a light on what the Alien Enemies Act looks like IRL. Our @immdef.bsky.social client fled Venezuela last year & came to US to seek asylum. He has a strong claim. He was detained upon entry because ICE alleged his tattoos are gang related. They are absolutely not. 🧵

We’ve seen this before, but it was a long time ago.

It should be resisted by all means, especially judicially.
This is a full purge of every single LGBTQ employee at the NSA. Rufo is falsely mischaracterizing a LGBTQ employee resource group as a "sex chat" to create pretext to fire every single member in it.

This is a playbook they will run to purge the entire federal government.

This would be unbelievable if it wasn’t so thoroughly researched, vetted, and reported.

This is consequential journalism.

We naturally try to make sense of senseless violence and potential hate-crimes. Sam Nordquist was tortured and murdered by evil incarnate.

As a trans man, Sam was hated and vilified by half of the political establishment, who also have his blood on their hands. #JusticeForSamNordquist 🏳️‍⚧️

The year is 2025. You have one chance to fill out a government form correctly and receive the approval you need. You fill out the form correctly and submit it. No one works at the agency anymore. Better luck next time.
