I saw Superman again, and my opinion on it really hasn't changed. If I were to sum up my thoughts in one wisp, is that it's a mediocre film with the most boring version of the character.

The first 20 minutes of Speed Racer is perfect filmmaking. It goes through a lot of exposition and character building in such a visually interesting way, and perfectly editing, that you get up to speed (heh) immediately.

I did not like the new Superman movie. I really do wish I saw the film the way the people who love it do but I couldn't get invested in anything that was going on due to how flat the characters are, the tonal whiplash and the blazing pace of it.

I'm sure. I liked the first plenty but this movie is such in a weird, limbo state that I'm going to be skeptical of its release until I see candid pictures of location shots and actors in costume.

Watching Andor then immediately following it with A New Hope is the perfect Star Wars experience. I wasn't a fan of Rogue One, and the series didn't change that, but add that in there if you did like it.
The victory in ANH hits a lot harder. Show's worthy in the pantheon with the OT and Prequels.
