Just a reminder that ICE didn't exist until 2002. It's not some longstanding institution that must be maintained. It was created as a knee-jerk reaction to 9/11, and it could be gotten rid of as easily as it was created.

This isn’t addressed in special ed (or even reg ed) enough: basic needs like food, rest, and human connection should NEVER be rewards. Students don’t need to earn any of that.
Give extra recess, 1:1 time, and fidgets/fun supplies instead. All rewards should add EXTRA on top of what they need.

Some special ed teachers' brains are really busted from having stewed in a system of compliance and (white lady) saviorism for so long. Just saw one woman talking about how she was going to make her own (disabled) child earn lunch. Like, no ma'am you are not doing a "good job"; go feed your child.

I think it’s great how our media and politicians now have the confidence to call it a ceasefire (which it isn’t) and are concerned it’s being broken (but not calling out Isr*el), when two years back they were too scared to say the word and instead invented the ludicrous phrase “humanitarian pause”

Kind of funny that we keep rehashing "the existential battle for the inclusion of the trans men in lesbian spaces!" while people just never comment on how violent, abusive, exclusionary gay men's spaces are to both gay trans men and straight trans women lol
the constant discourse about trans men in lesbians spaces is so divorced from reality I s2fg. maybe it's bc I'm from kansas bc "lesbian spaces" = space for anyone, just dominated my lesbians vs "gay space" which is actually advertised as that
