Are they outraged over male prison staff who routinely abuse and victimize incarcerated women in a "woman's space"? Of course not. They want the guards to enact violence on trans women specifically to serve as an example for all women.

The idea that trans sports bans are at all motivated by cis athletes' concerns is completely refuted by how strongly a sport almost entirely led by women has backed trans rights
Minnesota Roller Derby firmly stands against the executive order on trans athletes. Trans women are women, and belong in roller derby and all sports.

It's definitely true that we shouldn't rely on corporate entertainment behemoths for representation, but it's different for kids' media. Children usually aren't able to learn about smaller trans creators. Stuff like Win or Lose might be the only way they could see themselves on screen

It's good they're publishing this, but Haaretz is closer to the Nation than NYT in terms of impact
That this is coming from not a single writer, but the entire Haaretz editorial board, pubbed in both English and Hebrew, is a tremendous deal.

(Yes, it’s later than many of us would wish and not using strong enough language yet AND STILL.)

(Haaretz is in Israel what NYT was, well, once.)

Very funny that all these fascist dorks are ideologically incapable of understanding the story they're obsessed with
“Yarvin has laid out a philosophy in which he suggests replacing American democracy with a monarchy. … He has referred to himself and his friends as ‘dark elves’ on a heroic journey to rescue the know-nothing ‘hobbits’ who make up the American populace.”
