Victory to the rebels

And remember that the only people "doing what the state hopes we do" are the people trying to discredit a diversity of tactics.

I didn’t think this story could get any more tragic. But this report, from the remarkable Kim Bolan, just makes everything more heartbreaking. And I hope it will help to quell the conspiracies, along with the craven political exploitation of this horror. It’s just tragedy piled atop tragedy.

it's important this go as viral as the original story for morale purposes if nothing else. despite the image they project these people are NOT unaccountable. consequences CAN be forced. focused anger and outrage MATTERS.

Yall wanna hear something extremely embarrassing? Before Trump’s election, a bunch of academics who lumbered rightward after being criticized by the left (Pinker, Dawkins, Krauss) wrote essays for a book that is coming out in July about the threats to academia from the left.

More women have been attacked by other women in restrooms for being suspected of being trans in 2024 than women have ever been attacked in a restroom by a trans woman in all of recorded history.
In 2024 more women were attacked by another woman in a public restroom than by a trans woman.

In fact I don't think any were attacked by a trans woman.

It is genuinely fascinating that corporate media has come down with a hammer on pirates, who are NOT profiting off of stealing IP (and, arguably, aren't usually costing actual sales) but seem hesitant to come down hard on silicon valley AI grifters, who ARE profiting off of stolen IP.
It’s time for the studios to come off the sidelines. After this industry has spent decades fighting piracy, it cannot stand idly by while tech companies steal full libraries of content for their own financial gain.
Writers Guild Calls on Studios to Take “Immediate Legal Action” Against AI Companies
The union is arguing that tech companies "looted the studios’ intellectual property" while Hollywood's major companies stood by.
