All of this and more. So many workers take for granted the basic, now minimum acceptable, working conditions they would not have if not for unions.
Why do you appreciate unions?

In Portland this weekend and it was lovely. Everywhere. Even drove by the ICE facility to see if maybe the war zone was localized. 10-12 people hanging around with signs and chatting. Down the block was a park with adorable dogs frolicking with their people. Barely made it out with my life.

Political violence is never acceptable. I hope people who didn’t appear to feel that before very recently do now. Let’s work together to stop political violence in the US. And reasonable gun control laws are a great first step.

I think the fact that the president can make up a bullshit pretext about crime, activate various states' national guard units and invade a major city with basically minimal pushback of any kind reflects very poorly on Americans generally
