The Senate just passed the $901 Billion Defense Bill.

The Pentagon failed its last 8 audits and gets $901 billion, over half of which goes to the private military contractors donating millions to Congress.

Meanwhile, there are children, seniors, and veterans programs that have to lose funding. WTF

The turn to slop is something we actually have a lot of power over. We choose what art we engage with and whose art we engage with. We have the ability to choose films based on original ideas, to read books instead of just doom scroll, to talk about poetry instead of just Vanderpump.

A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.

When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol made $95.8 million in 2024.

The median barista made just $14,674.

That's a 6,666-to-1 CEO-to-worker pay ratio.

The largest of all S&P 500 companies.

They voted in record numbers and proved that all the money in the world isn’t a substitute for class.

They want progressive policies that benefit everyone.

They want affordability.

They want a compassionate leader.
