Kit Kat, a beloved neighborhood cat, was murdered by a Waymo. Now, its time for us to avenge them.

For months I've heard crazy stories about SF's reorganized street medicine teams, which are now forced to focus on "the list" — a small number of homeless folks who've annoyed politicians or angry neighbors.

This means every day they have to drive past people in urgent need of medical care. 1/3
SF Streamlined Its Street Teams. Now, Fewer People Are Getting the Help They Need
Street medicine outreach workers describe a new, expensive, and disorganized program that lacks clear objectives.

I made a programmable @caltrain.com bike tag using an e-ink display. It does not need a battery, drawing just enough power from the NFC antenna to refresh the display, and then requiring no power to maintain the screen afterwards. It’s perfect for occasional trips.

@senditjerry.bsky.social told me weed dulls your dreams. I didn't smoke yesterday, went to bed at 10, dreamt I was biking along a pier, fell into the water and kept sinking & sinking, woke up at 10:30 gasping for breath. I'm going back to being a pothead 🌬️

“We cannot keep asking transit riders to pay more and get less while car owners enjoy vast subsidies and free rein over public space. Congestion pricing, expanded meter hours and reformed parking policy are not radical ideas”
Three ideas to save S.F. Muni that have nothing to do with cutting service
OPINION: San Franciscans should ask themselves why bus and train service are on the chopping block even as we continue to subsidize the most polluting mode of transit.

The Muni Monthly Pass now costs $1020 annually. A Residential Parking Pass (RPP) costs $190. Why is it 5 times cheaper to store an entire car curbside than to ride Muni?

Parking is free in most of SF most of the time and charging for it would raise more money for SFMTA than fares ever could
