Powerful, gorgeous, hard read that is also a little about Stonewall and ends up being a lot about resisting erasure. The Women's House of Detention seems like a pretty important thing to remember right now.

A moving piece:
“I feel the full weight of this missed day, how it sits upon all the other missings of these years with #LongCovid - Christmas with family…beach with my son…parties, concerts, time with friends, writing, reading, traveling, imagining… things I did when I wasn’t trapped in this body”
Very grateful to have my essay about living with #longcovid, and the many missings it has wrought, up on @literaryhub.bsky.social.

📒A must read by @jessielchaffee.bsky.social

Haunting, vivid & poignant.
It weaves in the:
☀️ symbolism of Bradbury's 'All Summer in a Day'
📚 the setting of Greenwich Village & the prison turned library
✊ activism
🕳️ the quiet violence of absence we experience from #LongCovid
