Teacher here. While this is true, I will ask: is it necessary? School should prepare children for the world that they're going to enter. Whether it does that effectively is a discussion for another day, but it's ok to admit that some things kids used to know aren't relevant to today's world. 🤷♂️

* Tell time from an analog clock
* Read or write cursive
* Decipher Roman numerals
* Navigate with a paper map or use a compass
* Balance a checkbook

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service
