"ICE will leave Minnesota if you hand over your voter rolls" tells you everything you need to know.

This was never about immigration or fraud. It was always about rigging elections.

My thoughts on why today’s decision by the Labour NEC was short sighted and will likely only hasten Starmer’s design

“The chaos and psychodramas of the Tories saw them kicked out of office. The country wants us to get on with governing. We don’t have time for endless speculation.”
Far from wanting Labour to 'get on with the job' all the evidence points to the electorate wanting to see the back of Starmer asap...

NEW: Andy Burnham says he found out his candidacy had been blocked via the media, rather than directly from the NEC.

“Tells you everything you need to know about the way the Labour Party is being run these days”.

Ouch.
PS - The fact that the media was informed of the NEC decision before I was tells you everything you need to know about the way the Labour Party is being run these days.

You would think that over 30 years of service would count for something but sadly not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

"This is the increasing worry among many Labour MPs and ministers: they see Starmer as simply unable to resurrect the party and hold off what is viewed by them as the utterly terrifying prospect of a Reform government.

Andy Burnham won't be allowed to stand in Gorton and Denton.

This means it is the Green Party who will take the seat.

Vote for them if you don't want Fuhrer Farage ruling over you.

That NEC decision on Burnham was predictable, but also: cowardly, insecure, factional, long-term counter-strategic and symptomatic of administrative malaise.

This witness to Alex Pretti's murder not only refutes the governmen't story, but says she is afraid to go home because federal agents might arrest her. This is what it feels like to live under state terror.

Blocking Andy Burnham from standing is not putting the country before the party. It’s not even the best decision for the party. Starmer is ultimately prioritising his job. A job he is doing badly. Which will result in Britain falling to the far right.

Absolutely unforgivable.

"This individual... committed an act of domestic terrorism."

Alex Pretti was not a domestic terrorist. He was a nurse. And ICE officers murdered him, without any possible legal justification for doing so. The video evidence irrefutably demonstrates that.

This perfectly demonstrates the pernicious nature of BBC two-sidism.

It almost always benefits the side with the most power.

In this case that's the side which is murdering peaceful protesters in the street, on camera, and then lying about it
The BBC coverage is absolutely terrible.

It leads on "sharply contested narratives"

It has a dramatic skew to the US government

It has posted the video but has failed to report on what it shows: it shows the US govt account is untrue

The shooting of Alex Pretti was (US) state sanctioned murder and has been followed up by attempts to destroy evidence and stop local police (and even the FBI) from investigating.

Minnesota police are trying to counter the lies and illegality.

Terrifying

This just highlights how important the video testimony is of the brave Minnesotan civilians observing. It is crucial resistance - without those videos we'd be even more lost.
