I just got a report that a terminated employee from another agency got their job back after replying to the termination email with their good perf appraisal.

If you are still connected, might as well try. It makes for good documentation if nothing else.

Let me know. So far only this one anecdote.

There’s an edit here at 11 seconds in. Isn’t that illegal now??? Call the FCC! Release the full transcript Fox!
Asked what he's doing to try to bring the country together, Trump goes on a rant that culminates in him saying that "I just signed a bill allowing for women not to have to be punished by men in sports."

While Trump has been distracting America with everything else, Elon Musk’s staffers are quietly taking over NOAA and the Department of Labor. They are also using AI to help rewrite a significant portion of the federal government’s computer systems.

1. BREAKING

Several of Elon Musk’s associates installed at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) — including two recent high school graduates — have received unprecedented access to federal human resources databases containing sensitive personal information for millions of federal employees.

Giving access to SSNs, other data on government employees to non-employees like Musk is a violation of 5 USC 552a, and carries with it a penalty of $1000 per person whose data was accessed. We are building a case. Govt employees who want to participate should contact me directly

Musk’s allies were granted access to the U.S. Treasury payment system.

Treasury stays silent.

White House stays silent.

Why the secrecy? Time for an explanation and full transparency.

This language describes a coup. You have to be a government employee, subject to the rules & procedures that bind gov employees, to do this kind of work. This is a blatant abuse of the public trust by the Trump administration, a true 5-alarm fire. www.wired.com/story/elon-m...

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.

Yes. Former Treasury and OMB officials explained to me in detail what sort of power Elon Musk has now been granted. They described it as akin to having his hands on a series of spigots that he can now turn on and off:

This is tragic. It’s like Biden at the end of his campaign. They wrongly persist, blindly believing their old brains, habits, procedures are equal to the task at hand. They’re not.

I don’t know if this is the plan. But if it is, let me rain on that parade.

Elon will never allow Democrats to win the mid-terms. If the plan is not to get him out of our govt systems now, it’s a wrap.
The Democratic “plan” is to “not get distracted” as Trump seizes Treasury, purges the FBI and the military, and completely defies all laws limiting himself, and then win back the House in 2026 by talking about inflation. It’s an awful plan.

The awful news that Elon Musk clashed with a top Treasury official in an effort to access govt payment systems raises a crucial question: Did Trump authorize this, or not?

I talked to former officials who explain why this is a key question, and why it's so alarming:

Did Musk’s alleged effort to access the government’s payment systems have Trump’s blessing? Or was he going rogue? Either scenario is bad, but one’s a little worse.
