I have no idea how to use this platform but right now it seems to suck less than the alternatives.

I told @distraction.engineer about the most recent #canpoli tea, and the implications of another MP crossing the floor. He said he couldn't remember anything like this happening before.

Oh boy, you think this is good? Let me tell you about Belinda Stronach in 2005!

If you had asked me a year ago if I'd be getting involved with capital L Liberals, I'd have laughed. But right now I see opportunity. I see a way to shape policy from the inside. I have progressive ideas, and at the Southwest Summit today, I felt heard. It's a good feeling.

Canada has agreed to recognise Palestinian statehood, but with conditions. This is unacceptable - we should be recognising statehood unconditionally, as France intends to do - but I want to reflect on the conditions themselves and why they are so concerning.🧵 #canpoli #gaza

NDP, what the hell are you even doing? Do you want to lose more seats? Because you will!
The NDP just said they’re going to vote against the Throne Speech.

This is a confidence vote, so if it doesn’t pass, say hello to another election!

That said, the Bloc will likely vote in favour of it — given Blanchet has suggested he’ll prop up the government until we have a deal with the U.S.

Poilievre wants to remain Conservative party leader, but without a seat, he won't be able to speak in the House of Commons.

Turns out Bruce Fanjoy pulled it off. I maintain that Carney beating Poilievre would have been hilarious, but we got the next best thing. #canpoli
I figured he might run for an Ottawa seat, but come on, Carleton is *right there* and beating Poilievre in both the election and winning his seat at the same time would be *hilarious*. #canpoli

My husband was concerned when he heard me yelling and booing at the TV. Perfectly reasonable explanation: Stephen Harper was interrupting my Schitt's Creek marathon, and I think he was trying to smile again. #canpoli

Alright, Ontario. I get it, your choices today aren't terribly inspiring, maybe you feel like you have no one you can vote *for*, but can you motivate yourself to show up to vote *against* someone? Because Doug Ford really sucks, and he's counting on you not showing up. Don't prove him right. #onpoli

Before you praise Doug Ford for cancelling the Starlink contract, don't forget that he signed it on November 14, 11 days after the US election. Ford knew Musk was scum and made the deal anyway. He doesn't deserve credit for cancelling it today when he never should have made it in November. #onpoli

Just to expand on what I posted yesterday about Doug Ford taking away prescription drug coverage for kids, I think it's important to talk about this, because the change was sneaky and not well publicised and I don't think people are aware of it, even 6 years later. #onpoli

Three years ago, when the ding dong delegation rolled into Ottawa and spent 3 weeks harassing its citizens, Doug Ford went snowmobiling.

He said the mayor should've called him if he needed help.

Doug later refused to testify at the Emergencies Act inquiry.

We deserve better, Ontario.
