Won’t be long before we learn of an ICE detention center setting up in a former regional hospital

Sorry, no beds for cancer patients, we’ve got to lock up this father of three who works as a roofer.
Big win for the close the hospitals, open the camps caucus today.

Zohran was authentic, values-driven, honest, genuine, sincere -- he took the campaign seriously but not himself seriously.

His whole vibe was quintessential millennial leadership and it's what we're about to see wayyyyyy more of across the Democratic Party.

this should be the democratic message on immigration and not the "we're tough like the gop but not as mean" bs
My family owes everything to America's acceptance of a refugee named Nicholas Pritzker on its shores over a century ago.

My story, however, is not unique — our state and nation have been strengthened by people from across the globe seeking freedom, opportunity, and refuge here.

The administration's goons are now manhandling United States senators for asking questions at a press conference.
Here's another angle from Fox News reporter Bill Melugin of Sen. Alex Padilla getting roughed up by law enforcement after he tries to question Kristi Noem at her presser:

“I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary. Because the fact of the matter is, a half dozen... Hands off!”

In yet another edition of "the accusations are confessions," it's v clear that the GOP description of the Biden White House - that staff were actually making decisions while the president was just bopping around, incompetent & senile, Weekend at Bernie's style - is what's happening with Trump.

I've been trying to communicate this to congressional Dems - the moderate position right now is that Schumer should step down from leadership. The chasm between rank and file Dems & congressional Dems can't hold. People want fighters. In the absence of a real shift, my guess is Chris is very right.
This is the first of what I think are going to be A LOT of primary challenges along these lines.

I think this is the disconnect.

Schumer still focused on POLITICAL STRATEGY.

Democratic grassroots focused on the SUBSTANTIVE HARM being done to the United States.
Schumer on CBS on calls for him to go:

"Here’s what I say — I’m the best leader for the Senate. I am the best at winning Senate seats."

This is really the divide between old and new generation Democratic electeds: Those who believe the GOP is capable of being good faith partners in governance and those who know they’re full of shit.
A lot of delusion happening in that Schumer NYT interview, but this gets to the heart of it: he believes his Republican colleagues will come around and everything will be ok. Absolutely delusional.

Along with the capitulation, this is the worst part.

The relentless focus on process and “bipartisanship” rather than articulating the substantive issues with the bill and articulating a substantive alternative
The Senate Democratic Caucus was unified on a ‘clean’ one-month CR that would have kept the government open and given Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation. I’m disappointed that our Republican colleagues wouldn’t join us in that effort.

Primary every single one of them if we even still have elections in 2026
The final tally to advance the CR is 62-38.

Durbin (IL)
Fetterman (PA)

☎️: (202) 224-3121

Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid.

The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING.

Call retiring Senators too!
