Correct.
Too many mediocre men talk over capable women.

Study of problem-solving teams: Men dominate the conversation, taking 50% more turns and saying 69% more than women. Men with low skill speak more than women with high skill.

It's long past time to value competence over confidence.

Today, Alberta introduced Bill 9 and invoked the notwithstanding clause to shield three anti-trans laws from constitutional challenge. These laws deny gender-affirming care to youth, erase 2SLGBTQI identities from schools, and ban trans girls and women from sports.

Joy is … elusive. And baseball and the #BlueJays helped. A thread.
2025 is in many ways the hardest year. You don't have to look far to find bad news. We are all carrying around a bad news box in our pockets. People are suffering. Things are expensive. Kindness. Decency. They seem to be all but dead.
Pretty bleak right?
Then along came my baseball team.

You can and should voice opposition to political violence, but I did not vote for a government to give a standing ovation to a white supremacist in our House.
Charlie Kirk's death was a tragedy.
But he built his name on provocation and white supremacy.
He said that gun deaths of innocents was "worth it."
On Mark Carney's first day as PM in Parliament Liberals gave Kirk a standing ovation.
Ceding ground to extremism won't make them nicer.

Mark Carney does not need to to invite a fascist who doesn't believe women should work and who thinks contraception is evil to come and speak to "understand him better."

The verdict itself has taught men that all that is necessary is coerced consent. So good job to Canadian legal system for contributing to the horror show women continue to be condemned to navigate.

No one would put themselves through this system and process, if it wasn’t true.
FYI - it's been several HOURS and the judge is still reading her decision in the Hockey Canada trial.

Hollywood has people thinking a judge just stands up and says guilty or acquitted and they move on. Nope. Victims have to listen to hours of a judge smearing them in front of a packed courtroom.
