And if we don't take this leap, we go nowhere, sequestered, trapped in an illusion of comfort as we waste away, thinking we're keeping things the same as things fester within and our universe blinks out without us.

And so.. "it’s time! Time to send our spark out into the darkness."

But the end of our universe is the birth of a new one. There's so much uncertainty, countless possibilities, but all we can do is set up the pieces, give her all the tools and support we can, and set things in motion. Eventually we'll be watching as this new universe evolves beyond our control.

The Way Things Have Been is our current universe: comfortable, we're used to it, but somethings not working. And if we don't move on, we'll be stuck in the same loop, delaying the inevitable, watching our current universe blink out around us as we scrape 22 more minutes to hold onto what feels safe.

Chrono Trigger turns 30 today - it first released on this day in 1995. A project led by the collaboration 'dream team' of Hironobu Sakaguchi (Final Fantasy, lower right), Yuji Horii (Dragon Quest, top right) and Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball, left). Arguably one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
