Recently read the J. Edgar Hoover bio G-MAN by Beverly Gage. Hoover was a piece of shit and also one of the keys to parsing where we are as a country over two decades into the 21st century.

An Alex Toth masterpiece. It’s all brilliant. Going sans panel borders so the clouds bleed into gutters is inspired stuff. The value work. The panel to panel framing/compositions. Page 2 panel 5 is one of my favorite panels of all time. He was of course also cooking with an Archie Goodwin script.
