You know, apropos of nothing in particular, and although I haven't researched it yet, I strongly suspect that a president starting a foreign war to distract from his extensive ties with child sex traffickers is probably a high crime or misdemeanor under the Constitution's impeachment clauses.

I prosecuted international drug trafficking organizations for the Justice Department. In fact, for years one of my cases was listed as the #1 noted case on DOJ's Special Operations Division website.

But killing people with no trial or due process is wrong. It is cruel and degrades America.

Shapiro: I think another lesson from last night is that the American people have pretty good bullshit meters—and they know that Donald Trump’s bullshitting them. Look, I think you know two million Pennsylvanians don’t have access to SNAP right now, don’t have access to food right now.

Trump’s ingenious plan to make things more affordable for us is to slap tariffs on a large percentage of things we buy each month, while deporting a big chunk of the labor pool that produces our food supply.

We really don’t appreciate this man enough.

This seems bad
"The FAA is losing not only its chief air traffic officer but its associate administrator for commercial space, his deputy, the director of the audit and evaluation office, the assistant administrator for civil rights and the assistant administrator for finance and management."

Huh.
This story has a dozen or so nice anecdotes on why institutional competence matters and exactly what we've lost by this administration's hackneyed "reforms."

I owe Trump an apology. I thought he was a 2-bit con man, but turns out he is

President of the United Shysters of America.

C.E.O. of U.S. Steal.

Governor of Crime-ia.

Supreme Leader of Greed.

He is King Con.

He is the Emperor of Avarice.

He is the Pontiff of the Graft-lic Church.

“Are you worried?” That is always the first question.

“Of course I am worried,” I respond. “The president of the United States considers me an enemy and has promised retribution. I would be an idiot not to be worried. But I am not going to give in. I will continue to fight.”

It’s almost as if USAID was a pillar of American soft power and influence in the world

It’s almost as if it was entirely predictable that America’s adversaries would work to fill the void left by USAID’s destruction

Tariffs are taxes. Consumers pay those taxes, and they are regressive—meaning they hit low and middle income people harder than high income people.

Coupled with Trump's tax cuts for the rich, this will be the largest transfer of wealth from the working and middle class to the wealthy in history.
