Excited to share our new work in PDAC Cachexia. This work demonstrated that addition of factors like advanced age in murine models can uncover signatures that might have been obscured in other models.
Grateful for @jdoles.bsky.social ‘s mentorship and support!
Looking forward to all feedback :)

Excellent discussion with those who made it to our breakout session at the 2025 IDEAL Leadership Conference where we highlighted the importance of inclusivity/belonging with respect to faculty attrition. Thoughtful crowd!

This International Women's Day, let's honor those who helped us to get where we but also remind ourselves how far we have to go.
Keeping ourselves informed of the journey ahead & uplifting the women in our community are the best steps we can take as individuals.

Whoa, a lot to digest in this article. People being REclassified as probationary in Jan in advance of this directive.

Ppl getting fired on a zoom call effective immediately with no severance?!

Ppl with Director awards fired for poor performance?!

It’s a bloodbath. Lawyers, do your thing.

So CSR is “postponing” (read: canceling) study sections that have connections to health disparities with 36 hours notice. The grants were submitted and reviewed, ready to be debated and discussed. Maybe 10% would have been funded.

I am far beyond angry.

Trying to focus on reviewing grants but having difficulty with all that is currently happening in our scientific community. At least I have a great group to work with to help distract from the craziness!
