I am going to just thread an “About Me”, so don’t mind me stitchin’, friend! 🧵
I CAN NOW CONFIRM, this was a great-great-grandmother on my mother’s side. I was initially told this was a cousin, but apparently I was led astray.
I have an ancestor who had to have her leg amputated, and she only consented to the procedure on the condition it be preserved to be buried with her upon her passing.

My town’s holiday décor includes Memory Trees, where a very kind soul volunteers their time to make an ornament to dedicated to a passed loved one every year. I try to find all of my relatives on it each holiday season since their ornament location changes. I have only found one so far.

As Cory Booker eclipses 23 hours on the Senate floor protesting Trump's policies, it's been the top livestream on Youtube all day. The TikTok livestream has been liked over 175 million times. It's likely the most watched Senate floor speech in American history.

This is going to harm small and rural libraries and the communities they serve. Now is the time to:

➡️ Sign up for a local and state library card (if your state offers one)

➡️ Visit your IMLS funded museums

➡️ Call your legislators and demand they stand up for funding America’s libraries and museums
Entire staff at federal agency that funds libraries and museums put on leave
The staff of the Institute of Museum and Library Services was placed on administrative leave this morning, following a meeting between IMLS leadership and DOGE staff.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.
