it’s always a lovely day when people realize weirdos are the backbone of any fandom and trying to make everyone “normal” kills everything enjoyable about it. fandom wouldn’t exist if people could be normal about things.

Also, the major reason why there are huge environmental costs to creating AI models is the pursuit of general AI/AGI and larger data sets.
Anyone who studies and really understands AI understands 2 things:
- general ai doesn’t work (ai not trained on a specific task)
- AI is only good for very specific and small tasks
- LLM’s mimic and analyze written speech patterns. It’s not fuckin sentient.
And if someone tells you different 🤷🏻♂️
