Windblown came in clutch near the end of the year as my "no thinky" game that I can play more than once. It's still in development, but I really enjoyed my time so far! One thing I hope they prioritize soon is accessibility though, cause the photosensitivity issues are pretty apparent.

Pentiment is a game that greatly appealed to the history geek in me. The story is full of twists and turns and I genuinely never knew what would happen next! So many of my choices genuinely felt consequential and I felt the constant struggle of the politics of that time. Great work Obsidian!

Final Fantasy IX has always been my favorite Final Fantasy since I was a kid... but I never completed the game. I finally beat the game this year and it remains my favorite Final Fantasy! The aesthetic, the story, and the characters all come together in a package that I love even as an adult.

Pseudoregalia is one of the most polished indie platformers I've ever played. It feels SO GOOD to play! We've been eating good this year with indie platformers ngl.

Signalis is another game in a genre that I never finished. Now I'm hankering for more survival horrors, lol. Really awesome game! I think the concept is really cool and interesting to try piecing together the story.

Another Crab's Treasure was my first Souls-like that I actually finished and I love it dearly. Easily one of my favorite games and big fan of the story!

Eastward is a beautifully rendered, adorable game with an engrossing story. I really enjoyed my time with Eastward and I love the unconventional protagonist! I've considered John for my first cosplay at a con.

Griftlands is a really interesting take on the card-based roguelite format with a narrative twist. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from it for Knight Tails, for sure!

Stray Gods is so much fun and the characters are so lovable! A story full of sacrifices, twists, laughs, and amazing musical numbers. Highly recommend it!
