What about "flushing toxins"? Sorry, but no. Pee doesn't work that way. Your kidneys clear toxins upstream before the concentration of urine is determined. Drinking more water just dilutes the toxins you already filtered, it doesn't increase the total amount of toxin cleared.

The Medical Student Alliance for Global Education, which I work with at ScholarRx, published a #FOAMED collection of bricks on #SRHR, including this one on Safe Abortion. Stories like this should be unacceptable to us, not increasing in frequency.
