Remember, kids: A real big goal of "AI" is to entirely sever capital from labor, and no, there will be no universal basic income, you can all just starve and die, thanks

AI is already taking jobs away from entry-level workers
Software and customer service are most at risk right now and could be the canary in the coal mine.

"Children are dying... That's a succinct summary of humankind, I'd say. Who needs tomes and volumes of history? Children are dying. The injustices of the world hide in those three words."

Fascism has festered in our nation since its inception.

In slavery, in Jim Crow, in capitalism—it’s morphed to survive, to build, to dominate.

But all that time, freedom has grown too; America has progressed and the world has connected.

We are more ready for this than ever before.

Good will win.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

🌿go & be in a place with plants & trees for 15 mins
🌳You'll inhale plant oils(phytoncides) from foliage
📉your stress hormone(cortisol) will drop significantly

Many of our brain pathways evolved to motivate us to forage for plants-they're still very active

The strongest thing you can be in the face of a cruel society is kind.
I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

No, I don't need a bloody copilot for this document, thank you.

Writing is, in no small part, a tool for thinking. If you outsource that element to a machine that cannot think, you shouldn't be surprised if, at the end of the process, neither you nor your reader are any the wiser.

While this might be accurate, an important thing to remember is that smart people can focus on solving problems because everyone else is doing the basics to keep society running and allowing for specialization into more complex tasks. We're only strong together.
