A lot of this going around lately, IMO.

This Transgender Awareness Week, we come together to celebrate the resilience and bravery of the transgender community in the face of relentless attacks.

My message to you is simple:

I am with you. I love you. I will never stop fighting for you.

JD Vance owns a company that buys American real estate and sells it to foreign investors. They specifically target Americans in crisis to buy their property for less than it is worth.
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

The projection has always worked for him. The misdirection has always worked. The bullying. The threatening. The lying.

With special needs children, we sometimes see an “extinction burst” of extreme behavior when the original behaviors are no longer effective.

The intensity can be breathtaking.

I have one immediate family member who relies on SNAP benefits, and one who has been working without pay (and under the implicit threat of being laid off) for weeks now. I am experiencing such an alphabet soup of emotions right now. Relief, but also anger and disbelief for those relying on the ACA.

In Deaf culture, the sign for “I love you” is commonly used as a way to say goodbye to friends and family members. Today, a student who has always yelled aggressively at me when it’s time for me to leave our sessions instead made eye contact and signed “I love you”. And then she did it again. 🤟🏻

Nothing to this one but venting: The transphobes are the most cowardly of bigots, people so terrified of what's in their pants & what's not in their hearts that they make it a calling to terrorize those who've done the work to know who they are. Mice have more courage, slugs have more grace.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

A lot has happened this year but I feel like we should always remind people that this happened followed by him deciding to starve the poorest children in the world simply because he wanted to.

We probably shouldn’t forget about this

I spent part of my morning crawling around on the floor with a Deaf 3rd grader with Down Syndrome, trying to model language and intermittently reinforce her for wearing her hearing aids. You spent your morning licking the boots of a tyrant. Fuck off, Mrs. Leavitt.

I saw myself in the mirror this morning and I looked so tired. I vacillate between a dim hope and a shadowy, sticky despair. There are still good days - days when the regime doesn't incite violence against my son, when they aren't calling 1/3 of all teachers terrorists. But those days are few.

As extreme weather events increase in intensity and frequency in a warming climate, there will sometimes be events that so severe that they overwhelm our collective capacity to respond. This autism press conference is an insult to science and medicine. It is a bunch of shameless male quacks shoveling bullshit at pregnant women, families and people with autism. This is a historic embarrassment for America and it is wildly dangerous.

Looking past the fact that the leader of the free world can’t say “acetaminophen” without help, did anyone notice how this amazing scientific breakthrough hangs responsibility for autism squarely on the shoulders of women while absolving men of all responsibility?
