It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.

Compelling analysis. "Gaza is not an aberration but a preview. The same forces that rain death on Palestinian children today will turn their weapons on any population that threatens power tomorrow. They have established the parameters of acceptable suffering."

This is just a shitpost, but there's something to the idea that

Almost every design choice and optimization for large language model-based "AI" comes from the designers' terror of ever hearing the words "you're wrong" or even just "no."

This fascinating new research overturns longstanding assumptions. It finds that lower-income groups are more concerned about the environment and prefer environmental protection over economic growth, compared to higher-income groups. Data from the USA.

Of things you wouldn't think I'd ever need to say "Don't fuck in the radioactive materials use area" is, sadly, not on that list.

Also "A condom is prophylaxis against VD and pregnancy. I applaud you for that, but doesn't do shit for all the contamination in that room. Now I have to survey you."
“biological sex” should refer only to having sex in a lab, knocking over microscopes and shit, contaminating every surface while scientists watch you and take notes

No disposable people.
I don't want, one day, my Kids to be disposable. I don't want, one day, for my Kids to be labelled the wrong kind of person, with the wrong kind of body, or the wrong partner, or the wrong creed.

So I have to start from human dignity: Nobody is Disposable. There is no wrong kind of Person.

The thing about fascism is that a significant chunk of people who obey in advance do so not out of fear, but eagerness: they perceive in the fascist regime their chance to settle cultural scores, regardless of costs
External threats aren't behind the white revanchism on display in media companies. They're doing this because they felt pushed into "diversity hiring" by the 2020 uprising and the "changing cultural moment" gives them the excuse to roll back the clock. They're doing this because *they* want to

The link between autism & vaccines is not only NON-EXISTENT & the initial claims were fraudulent. Wakefield lied for money. He is supported by people who will lie for money & don't scrutinize dishonesty.

This is not about incompetence or poorly designed studies.

This is fraud & has always been.

One of the main ways that "gen AI" bullshit and the bullshitters attendant thereto have fucked everything for everyone is that they fully succeeded in their attempts to obfuscate and occult what "AI" means, so now people hate the very concept structure of the term, even down to its far less bad uses

I’ve been posting about the tariff fuss but I hope a couple underlying principles are clear:

1. Nationalism is a scourge, no humans are illegal, and borders are violence.

2. This entire squabble is over stolen land and no one is consulting the people it continues, every day, to be stolen from.
