This #Eurovision feels like a special one for me. When my mother was born, her home country of Switzerland won for the first time. When I was born Switzerland won for the second time. This year we’ll be watching together as Switzerland hosts its third contest, even though we won’t be in the country.

This is an obvious point, but cannot overstated. There is an enormous difference between deporting someone - where they get off a plane as a free citizen in their home country AND FUNNELING THEM INTO A BRUTAL PRISON FROM WHICH THEY HAVE NO CHANCE OF EVER EMERGING!!!
