My friend who I worked with last summer at a big tech internship recently had his student visa revoked. He has spent the last two summers working at big tech companies and had plans to work for another one this summer as a software engineering intern. he is now struggling to afford to live here.
Hours ago, @politico.com revealed that DOGE is working with DHS on automating mass deportation efforts — likely explaining why many US citizens, green card holders, and even a Canadian (in Canada) got threatening emails last night terminating “your parole” and telling them to leave the US in 7 days.

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.

my university is one of many that gets federal grants. Many if not all of the dorm bulletin boards I’ve seen on my floor have been ten toes down for DEI. no names
