This is what we will do - stand up against those who seek to divide us, and keep Sutton united behind tolerance and equality.

In these dark times, Sutton needs a firewall against rising hate and division. We will be that firewall.

Russia is murdering civilians in Ukraine every night, please don’t forget that this is going on.

Russia is a terrorist state, and it had paid agents at the very top of Nigel’s Reform Ltd.

Reform are rotten to the core, and traitors to our country and must be challenged at every turn.

On Christmas morning 2021, Lillie Clack was hit by a drunk driver travelling up to 100mph. She died three days later.

Her family have been bravely fighting for Lillie's law, which I'm backing. It is right that we permanently revoke someone's license if found guilty of death by careless driving.

Absolutely colossal night of success for the Lib Dems.

In the 10 byelections, the LDs have gained from the CONs, GRNs, INDs and LAB, with a narrow loss to REF by 31 votes in Babergh.

Scoreboard: LD 7, REF 1, CON 1, IND 1.

I assume the media will cover this as breathlessly as every opinion poll?

The cut in the Russian oil price cap to $47.60 is just a drop in the ocean.

We need tougher action:
🚫 Ban UK imports of fuels made from Russian oil
🚫 Block UK firms from shipping/insuring Russian LNG
💰 Slash the cap to $30

Hit Putin’s war chest. Stand with Ukraine.
UK still ploughing millions into Putin's war chest through loophole, PM warned
Ministers have been urged by the Lib Dems to close loopholes which analysts say create hundreds of millions of pounds of tax revenue for the Kremlin

Very important contribution this.

If we’re going to beat Putin and end the cruel war in Ukraine, then we have to hit his economy, and the funding for the war machine.

The tango clown in the White House was always going to fail, now we need real grown up sanctions in place.

Patriotism is about improving our country & our area

It's the little things I see daily in Sutton from local groups & community champions

I told BBCLondon I'm proud of what our flags represent & want to see more of them, but that wrapping your prejudices in a flag isn’t patriotism but nationalism.

Some thoughts on flags...

Sometimes we don’t show enough pride in our national flags, but we also need to talk about the values that they represent, and what patriotism means.

Our Union flag and English St George's Cross flag, for me, represent positive modern progressive British values.

Correct on every point. The sudden proliferation of St. George's Flags absolutely is not a simple display of patriotism. It's a demonstration of the worst, most toxic, most mindless form of hard-right nationalism: white supremacism, packaged up in red and white.

The rapid spread of these banners is unsettling – and shows how the hard right is reaching people and places the left cannot, says Guardian columnist John Harris
