Also, can we talk about the lack of visibility of women being held in ICE custody from media outlets. It really gives the appearance that only men are being deported and/ or these women are inconsequential bc even in this instance the patriarchy is hard at work.
A Haitian woman who was among those held in allegedly inhumane conditions has died after more than 10 weeks in immigration custody.

At least six others have died in ICE custody in fiscal 2025, which began in October, ICE data shows.

Many want to be comforted and entertained by black people, but do not respect us or think we are worthy of leading or even being treated as valuable peers. And that's where a disconnect occurs. Because what reason do I have to comfort someone who essentially views me--a fellow human being--as a pet?

Every time I open this app, I am in mourning. I miss the days when social media was fun.

The world is falling apart all around us, yet we have no place to go for even a minor mental reprieve 😩

Not shopping at Target has taught me a lot about how much I have grown accustomed to convenience and how being inconvenienced can spark change for the better.
We’ve been taught to fetishize convenience so thoroughly, and the costs have been hidden so effectively, that we seek convenience while unknowingly reinforcing the system that make us crave ease in the first place.

We have to change this whole paradigm. My latest: www.jphilll.com/p/convenienc...
Convenience is killing us
Let me be the first to say I like my little conveniences.

It is absolutely logical, but to raise the stakes, hop on a live
When someone gets called out for catfishing wouldn't the logical thing to do would be to post a video saying you're not one???

I'm noticing that I got time every 5-7 business days 🤭

I really don't like to tussle with folks, but every now and then... *deep sigh* I might just say something.

I had time today, but this is a reminder to me, and all of the BP I see posting here about Jane Fonda's "woke" comment to REST!

Rest, friends. *Deep sigh* The emotional and mental labor it takes to educate people is not on us.
