Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.

It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad.

The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

“Strengthening vaccination programs, maintaining robust surveillance, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration will be essential to mitigate future epidemic and pandemic tasks.”
An interesting read, most especially if you can’t accept that SARS-CoV-2 was a natural spillover event.

I am pretty sure that @jimalwine.bsky.social wrote a piece about the increased tempo of pandemics at one point.

The GOP strategy seems now to be to destroy everyone’s faith in representative gov’t by simply doing the bidding of Trump and his lackeys, and not just tolerate but reward cowardice and inaction.

Republicans have GOT to stop supporting this erosion of our democracy NOW, or America is toast.

Trump has now conducted 28 boat strikes, killing over 100 people.

Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it.

He’s unilaterally acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

This is a danger to us all.

I think some folks are unable to take on board that pandemics almost exclusively arise from natural processes.

It’s scary. It really is.

So they cling to conspiracy theories to maintain an illusion of control.

What they should do is read books like @quammen.bsky.social’s Spillover.

Donald Trump said he’ll “be involved in” deciding if Netflix can buy Warner Bros.

Is that an open invite for CEOs to curry favor with Trump in exchange for merger approvals?

It should be an independent decision by the Department of Justice based on the law and facts.
Q: Should Netflix be allowed to buy Warner Brothers?

TRUMP: That's a question. They have a very big market share. I'll be involved in that decision
