This article highlights why only changes to government policy to limit plastic waste at the source can make a dent in the plastic waste problems. The problem was never going able to be solved with recycling by consumers.

Two months after the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade, in June 2022, Idaho’s trigger ban outlawing most abortions—one of the strictest nationwide—took effect.

According to a new peer-reviewed paper study, Idaho lost more than a third of its OBs—94 of 268 total—afterwards.

Absolutely amazing turnout for @sanders.senate.gov and @aoc.bsky.social last night in Denver. We were too far away to see but could hear the speeches. Feels like something important is shifting- this is the beginning of the kind of leadership a lot of Dems have been asking for since January.

Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.

This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.

Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.

And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).

This will directly affect the future, & the present, of Pennsylvania & the country. Jonas Salk invented the Polio vaccine at Pitt. Pitt helped unlock DNA & pioneered organ transplants. Musk is offering a future where Americans are poorer, sicker, & less free. One word: NO

I think it’s a lot easier to ask people to keep making climate investments if we actually show them what that means. That it’s solar for your local vet, and a new grain dryer for a family farm.
