So flattered @jamescdownie.bsky.social and exactly the kind of pollster I strive to be/candidates deserve! Our philosophy is not to be a pollster who tells candidates who to be or what positions to take but to help hone their passion for service and meet voters where they are. That’s the work!!

My four part messaging strategy for any Democrat for the next four years: ABCD

-Abortion is healthcare
-Build the damn roads (ie deliver on basic functions of government )
-Cost are too damn high (housing, health care, higher ed, help with kids and aging parents)
-Don’t forget about the corruption

History repeats.

In late February 1921, 2 weeks before taking office as POTUS, Warren Harding writes a letter to the richest man in America, William Randolph Hearst, thanking him for helping him win the presidency with favorable coverage in major newspapers he owned & begging for his advice.

Many of you could be where we are—on the street—but for some simple and not uncommon twist of fate. This is part of your rejection, your fear that it could be you…Nothing good comes of fear, only destruction, & America has become a society of fear, much of that fear cultivated to divide and control.
This first-hand account of homelessness by former @BostonGlobe.com writer Patrick Fealey reminds us that its root cause is "a lack of affordable housing. Wages have not kept up with escalating real estate values and rents, especially in major cities." #mapoli

TIL that the CEO of this app is named Lantian Jay Graber — and Lantian means… Blue Sky… because her mother wanted her to have “boundless freedom.” Here she is talking about common infrastructure for all on this app. That is one hell of a gorgeous life cycle.
Jay: I think social media should be basically common infrastructure that society gets to use and evolve it as society evolves, building a more democratic form of social media to reflect a democratic society.

Hello, Bluesky! I’m so happy to be here. I’m not necessarily here to find likeminded community, just civil discourse that is reduced bot and adult content. I’m interested in politics, data, art, books, travel, and pets. Excited to explore this new space. Please follow and I’ll follow back!

This feels like a nice repost for my first BlueSky entry.
We need to stop listening to the Obama & Clinton strategists

We need to stop listening to the Pod Save America bros

We need people who aren’t mentally mired in the past

We need a new generation of strategists that are big picture innovators that aren’t afraid to take giant leaps into the unknown
