We lost my incredible Grandma - Rhoda Frid Mermell - 23 years ago today. She was the Chief Nurse of the 27th Evacuation Hospital in WWII. Celebrating and honoring her service, and the service of all veterans (including my wonderful Grandpa, Lester Mermell), this Veterans Day.

I can’t imagine I’m the only one who has been texting with family about postponing Thanksgiving plans because of the air travel nightmare Tr*mp has created. He doesn’t care about hungry kids, so I don’t expect he’ll care about families being together for the holiday. 🤬

Just feeling deep shame and sadness that we’re a nation being led by people who are fighting to ensure that millions of kids, seniors, veterans - and so many more - go hungry. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/07/m...

Talking national election results with @nbcboston.com, and kind of realizing that this coat looks like a bathrobe. 🤷‍♀️

Feeling so grateful to every Dem who put themselves out there last night. Running for office is always hard, but to do it in **this moment** is next level. And yet all of these patriots stepped up to run for everything from School Committee to Governor, to fight for all of us.

Amazing how much better the morning after Election Day is without a feeling of complete and total existential dread!

Brookline friends: a reminder that the Brookline Food Pantry is accepting donations (financial and food) if, unlike the President and his MAGA lemmings, you happen to be of the belief that all humans deserve to eat. brooklinefoodpantry.org/donate/

First of all, no human is illegal. Secondly, states allow people to get driver’s licenses regardless of immigration status because it makes everyone safer. When this was on the ballot in MA, law enforcement backed it because it was such a clear public safety issue.

What Tr*mp is doing to these workers - and the people who rely on them for crucial services - is unconscionable. Every single day he is choosing to let this harm happen. All while he builds his tacky ballroom and buys private jets for his team. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/10/30/m...

Please join me in supporting the Brookline Food Pantry.

When I was a Brookline paraprofessional, I relied on SNAP benefits to fill the gaps my salary left.

Our neighbors need our help as the federal government waged war against them. Please don’t forget them.
With Tr*mp about to cut off SNAP benefits for approx. 700 Brookline residents, I thought I’d share the Brookline Food Pantry donation page - w/ info on how to donate food or contribute $. The President doesn’t care about our neighbors, but we do. brooklinefoodpantry.org/food-donatio...
