A local walk today (bit windy so no bike ride) resulted in seeing a swathe of wildflowers along a very busy relief road - kidney vetch, ox eye daisies and stunning pyramidal orchids were everywhere! A real feast for the eyes #wildflowerhour

Birds foot trefoil spotted growing rampant by the cycle path near the beach today. Great ride!

Anyone else got baby goldfinches on their feeders? They’re noisily flapping and cheeping in the tree whilst their parents calmly feed away, with the occasional ‘buzz’ saying “my turn now!” It’s so wonderful I can watch them from my lounge.

So pleased to see this, having been closely involved in Erasmus+ projects and its Comenius predecessor since 2008.
New UK-EU agreement just published.

Reform is a Limited Company

Farage owns 53%

It was formed in 2019 to push for a “no-deal Brexit”

It wants to reintroduce the Liz Truss budget

It wants to privatise the NHS

& invest in fossil fuels

Close the BBC

& break International law

It’s a scam

Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

Heard something unusual just now in the garden - a song thrush! What a beautiful call. I’m obsessed with the Merlin ID app!

Shout out to my aunt Ruth, who has managed to get a publishing contract after years of working hard to get her stories out there. Perhaps she named the main character after me, perhaps she didn’t 😉.

Just downloaded the Merlin ID app I’ve seen recommended by others interested in identifying local birdsong. It works pretty well actually, and it’s free! Here are my results from my back garden:

Persuaded my hubby to come along to a local screening of a live performance of the musical Six, based on the wives of Henry VIII, as we recently visited Hampton Court Palace. All I can say is: wow! Very clever, and an energising, uplifting performance. Bravo to the writers, musicians and performers!

If you're wondering why so many right wing individuals are saying hateful things about the late Pope, the reason is simple: he told them that they should care about other people.
