Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

The exclusion of trans people from public and academic spaces, removal of protections by human rights institutions, dehumanising language used by state news media, judicial tolerance of trans directed hate crime, withdrawal of medical care: all of this is very familiar to genocide scholars.

I'm privileged to call Robin a friend, and as such, have seen behind the curtains with what went on with Monkey Cage. When BBC bosses say they don't recognise his version of events, I was being told of them by Robin in real time. This stuff has been going on for YEARS.
I'm heartbroken for him.

You know, infuriating and a shameful betrayal though the BBC and other media's misreporting of the Sandie Peggie judgment is, it also doesn't really matter.

What matters is the judgment which lawyers will read, use to advise their clients, and inclusion will be the winner.

SEEN needs to spell out how astonishingly improper this is. A Gender Critical activist ‘journalist’ openly admits he was “invited to address the judge” in a criminal trial, even though he says himself he “doesn’t technically have standing”. This should NEVER happen in court.

Farage is a nasty antisemite.

Colour me shocked.

See the Guardian CAN do investigative journalism, it just chooses to take all the output of 'gender-critical' transphobes and contrived authority actions like Cass at face value.

the lesson media people should take from the BBC blow up last week is that no matter how transphobic your editorial bent is, it will never ever ever satisfy the fascists

The BBC, quite consciously, sets out to demean and belittle trans people. This is both morally contemptible and in breach of its Charter obligations. We've made it super easy for you to write to the BBC and tell it to stop.

Cis people:

Over 2 days the media has widely reported a rally of 100,000 fascists but did not report Trans Pride London which was also attended by 100,000 people.

This should tell you that UK mainstream media is dangerously biased against trans people & it’s reporting about us totally unreliable.
