Maybe it's the cultural overuse of "Orwellian", but I find myself increasingly less convinced by '1984'. The ultimate message of which seems to be "If you torture people with rats, you can break them psychologically."

If I didn't know any better, I'd think there was some kind of clandestine global child abuse ring being carried out and covered up by monarchs, heads of state and the billionaire elite.

I'm glad someone has pieced this together because Spiked has always been the most ridiculously transparent propaganda machine posing as some kind of collective of dissenting voices.

Future generations will be amazed that there was a time when, rather than simply generate a movie, we would fly tons of people and equipment all over the world to actually film fictional events being re-enacted in person, no matter the cost to the environment.

A lot of anti-AI arguments remind of me of anti-porn ones where a medium's worst potential applications are presented as somehow inherent. People will say "porn is bad because it's abusive and exploitative to women," but the fact that it can be doesn't mean it has to be.

I went looking to try to find out how many people were at the puberty blocker protest, but for some reason all the photos seem to be super close up shots that make it impossible to judge scale. Oh well, good to see so many diverse and organic home made protest signs, at least.
