We don't need to trade lives for 'freedom', we should have both. Being prepared ACTIVELY (eg, surveillance with targeted public health action, production & fair dispersal of countermeasures) & PASSIVELY (eg, equitable healthcare, strong IAQ) will determine whether we achieve this.
