My own little corner of the void.

Little bit of art, photography, random thoughts. Trying to make sense of the world through what I make, say, and do.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

The Orphan Crusher is here to stay. If we don’t feed more Orphans to the Crusher the Orphan Crushing industry will die. It’s time to wake up to the reality of the Orphan Crusher. The Orphan Crusher is worth billions. We need to teach people to use the Orphan Crusher. It’s here to stay.

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

As we boycott vile companies, a reminder that many US public libraries offer:

1) Ebooks & audiobooks via the Libby app. Pro tip: use the “notify me” tag to request your library add books by trans, disabled, & BIPOC authors!

2) TV & film streaming via Kanopy

3) Language learning via Mango

💙📚 And:
Want to read ethically by ditching Audible/Amazon, Spotify, &c? 💙📚

1. Your local library needs support & has free physical & audiobooks

2. Queer Liberation Library: free digital library for US LBGTQ folks

3. Libro.fm: Audible but pays indie bookshops

4. Bookshop.org: physical books from indies

You look at every culture that's ever existed and the running theme is everyone pretty much just wants to play/dance to music, make art, eat stewed meat wrapped in flat bread, and tell stories about the shapes we find in the stars. Somehow we turned that into wars and overtime and profit margins.
My problem with everything is that I know For A Fact that the purpose of life is frivolity. It is to fool around & pursue joy.

What a week to be off work.

Can't wait to go back to the office Monday and see how many people have been canned. /s

For context, most of us bottom-of-the-totem-pole peeps are pretty openly liberal, while a lot in management are openly conservative.

Here's hoping my fob still gets me in the door.

a key reason they see an opening for such a blatant speech crackdown is that they already did one to Palestinian and anti-genocide activists and it got enthusiastic bipartisan approval

rarely have I more acutely felt the dynamic by which Dems are held responsible for the rhetoric of every random left-leaning person on the internet and Republicans are not even asked to answer for their own personal words

Literally watch one episode of The Jetsons, and you'll see all these "new" things these articles are warning about are actually AT LEAST 60 years old.

Like, are we expected to believe everyone loved their jobs before millennials came along?
So weird how no one invented "looking busy at work despite not being busy" until recently. You'd think someone would've come up with that before now, but no, it's a new trend, with a name that is definitely real and commonly used.
