Thoughts mostly about Newcastle United that are clearly undervalued in my group chats
Don't mind that performance thought we were pretty decent and created chances against a good team who were out if they lost.
Players playing out of position because we need our fullbacks fit for Everton and if we win it is the right decision #nufc

#Nufc January shopping list assuming Wissa gets fit: 2 experienced full backs/wingbacks who are happy to start 25% of games and come on regularly from the bench. End of list (?)

Clearly the fullbacks have been the issue this last month, but Howe never used it as an excuse, my gaffer #nufc

That's surely Wissa out of AFCON #nufc
Nigeria will not be part of the 2026 World Cup.

They are defeated by DR Congo, who won 4-3 on penalties.

Chancel Mbemba, who scored the winner against Cameroon on Thursday, sends DR Congo through to the intercontinental play-offs in March.

Tino/Hall getting spoken about a lot and for good reason. As much as they do offer more in the final third, the thing we miss most is their ability to carry the ball 5-10 yards in our first phase of play. We’re so stodgy in the first phase without them. #nufc

Imagine if Howe absolutely outhowes himself and turns Joelinton back into a striker

That Wissa injury news is great to hear. Just need to get to the next international break with some wins under our belt and come back stronger with him and Ramsay. Exciting times #nufc

Post summer #nufc journo power rankings:
1. Craig Hope - Best informed & primo YouTube. Downside is the mail 🤢
2. Mark Douglas - Steady
3. Waugh/Caulkin - No transfer clout but good articles about state of club & podcast
4. Sky Keith - Might well hate his cool job?
5. Edwards - shocker

Our attacking options this season: Gordon, Barnes, Murphy, Elanga, Woltemade, Wissa.

Our attacking options last season: Gordon (head turned), Barnes, Murphy, Isak, Wilson (injured).

We are defo stronger and if Gordon gets back to form and Woltemade hits the ground running could be special #nufc

Oh yessss.

Give a shit about an overpay.

Guaranteed goals, takes the pressure off Woldemort and gives him time to develop.

Get in, this is now a great window for us all things considered. (Ignore the money, it's not £60 a ticket to count beans). He will get 15+ goals a season for the next 3 years, take the pressure of Woltemade and we will be a class team. Howay the lads #nufc
🚨⚪️⚫️ BREAKING: Yoane Wissa to Newcastle, here we go! Deal verbally agreed right now between the clubs. Fee worth £55m package. Brentford accept formal proposal from #NUFC and Wissa on his way for medical later today. After Isak gone, Wissa and Woltemade join for Eddie Howe.

Pretty grim that but expected with no striker, I reckon we'd have looked 10x better with Gordon up top. Still shite that no one played well but we will reset and come back better #nufc

Relatable content, but probably best not to 1.) think that or 2.) say that out loud.
🚨 Rúben Amorim: “Sometimes I want to quit, sometimes I want to be here 20 years. I need to improve on that”. “Every time we have one defeat like that, I am going to be like that. Sometimes I am going to say I hate my players, sometimes I am going to say I love my players”.

PSR has made us all far too precious about ages/prices. I would pay £50m for Wissa given our circumstances. We'll get 3 good years and 40+ goals.
Is one thing being value champs in summer but I want to watch an exciting team this year with a proper striker #nufc

If Wissa wasn't older he would be a better prospect than Ekitike and Sesko, hope he signs asap. We will get 2 or 3 class years from him and no sell on value. Who cares don't let PSR ruin football #nufc

You know, thinking about it, Thiaw and McGinn are probably the market we should be shopping in. We should have been doing this from the start of the window.

Still wary either may choose South Shields and Blyth, though.

100% this, real wake up call of a window. Need to realise that our squad and 1stXI CBs can be improved with 7/10 signings. Ultimately we surely will bring players in, it's just a shame it's taken this long for the reality to hit that we cannot compete with career ruining superclubs #nufc
Gotta wonder if some targets that were thinking bigger 'legacy' teams were coming from them are starting to realise it ain't happening and we can start to land some targets

Players are out there like:

Samu
Guerra
Thiaw
Dibling
Diomande
Nusa
Silva
Akliouche
Luiz
Gallagher

all improve our squad
Just been looking through the non-big-6 signings

Thought I'd make some 'clever' post about the players we should've been signing, the best players that haven't gone to sly6 teams..

but they're all dross. literally dross. Forest, Bournemouth, Villa, Everton, West Ham, etc. All just signing average
August 6, 2025 at 9:45 AM
This sums it all up really, they think if we won't roll over and be bullied it's cos we think we're bigger.
Many players have wanted to leave clubs before and not been allowed, is absolutely arrogant to assume this is different because 'Liverpool'.
We are 100% big enough to stand our ground
#nufc
It's really odd being described as "arrogant" by #NUFC fans when the reason they're calling us that is because some of them have deluded themselves into believing Newcastle United is a bigger club than Liverpool! 😩💀 There's not a single metric in Newcastle's favour. So what the hell is that about?!
