amplifying this post! policy needs to protect freedom on the internet and protection for individuals and groups, at a time when internet robber barons want to spy on users and capitalize on our posts and likes
The internet is revolutionary to free speech because it empowers individuals and citizens to route around censorship in all its forms—even a captured “free” press.

This is why private platform governance; law on internet access or online content, and anonymity online will always matter.

I’m an old Democrat. We’re not worried. Please join with former President Clinton to demand that the DOJ meet the legal requirement to release ALL of the Epstein files, every last one of them.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

THREAD.

My parents' cat Bridget vanished. As the weeks dragged on they became ever more worried, so to distract himself my dad began to paint Bridget's adventures, imagining her travelling through time and popping up at some of art & music's most important moments.

I've collected his work here...

Reposting this as it seems to be the kind of damning, documented narrative of Trump’s close relationship with Epstein that so many have clamored for, and I’m not sure why it’s not getting attention. Gift link.

If the House passes a 3 year extension of the ACA tax credits - which they now have the votes to do - then @LeaderJohnThune has to call it up for a vote in the Senate.

GOP leaders have tried as hard as they can to hurt families, but the dam is breaking. Let's get this done.

Today on Bluesky, my introduction to The Infinite Monkey Cage and Robin Ince arrived. I expect my life will be better for knowing and exploring both in more detail.
With only one life and so much to learn and experience, it’s a wonder that anyone chooses to live theirs without an open mind.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

So sad to hear of the death of Raul Malo, of the Mavericks. Rest in Power. Such a strong voice and personality—positive, full of life. The energy in their shows was so vibrant and joyous. What a legacy he and they have shared with the world.

Would leave it to the European countries in NATO to back up Ukraine in the fight with Putin.
Or what if a corrupt Republican was elected President in 1944 and decided to withdraw US troops from the war against the NAZIs, leaving it up to the British and Free French to finish the job. #TrumpBrand
🥴At the Doha Forum, Donald Trump Jr. stated that corruption in the Ukrainian government is fueling the war, and that Zelensky has become a “borderline deity” created by the left, whom they’ve made untouchable and beyond criticism.
