Missouri Republican lawmakers do not respect Missouri voters. The only way to undo the damage is to kick them out of office.

The only way to get them out is to win races across the state.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

@banditelli.org on a recent trek I saw this nest off Pozo Rd, in the middle of nowhere. The opening was 3-4 feet wide and a few hundred feet in the air on the side of a cliff. Any ideas what might live there? Some type of Owl? I'd like to hear the #birds community chirp in. @daryllmarie.bsky.social

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.

I think Americans are realizing that democracy is a participation sport, and the the government is ours if we want it to be. I feel like we got complacent and hoped some other third party would do the work for us. Seems like we have to learn that lesson every generation.

Senate Dems, do not cave. Ensuring healthcare premiums don’t surge is an 80-20 issue. They want to gut the ACA because their disdain for Obama far outweighs their concern for anyone’s health.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

Reporters must stop accepting this. Options:

-Laughing at him. Long and hard (combine with others)
-"It's your job to be informed"
-"How can Americans take you seriously when you always claim ignorance?"
-"I've never heard a speaker claim ignorance so often"
-"Nancy Pelosi knew what was happening"
Q: Just last week a minister was shot directly in the face with a pepper round by a DHS agent that left his face bloodied. Are you concerned that this is a religious freedom issue?

MIKE JOHNSON: I can't comment on any of those instances. I haven't seen or heard any of those videos

What did people do before SNAP?”

They died.

Healthcare, vaccines, disability support, education & food assistance are vital to our survival.

They’re why the average lifespan isn’t 35 anymore

The mark of a good & decent society is whether it sees the value in helping others.
