Arsenal have scored three of them. The most by any team in a single UCL campaign is four - a record shared by five teams.
11 - There have been 11 direct free kick goals scored in the Champions League this season, one more than in the last two campaigns combined. The last season there were more direct free kicks scored in the competition was 2016-17 (13). Thwack.

Arsenal statement on Kai Havertz's injury.

"Assessments and specialist reviews have confirmed that the injury will require surgery.

"Soon after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation programme, which is expected to extend into pre-season preparations for next season."

🚨 Arsenal working on deal to sign 18-year-old Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg.

Still competition for his signature but #AFC talks progressing. Would join Arteta's 1st team squad. Can play as 8 or 10.

So, what's the deal with this Sverre Halseth Nypan kid. Should Arsenal sign him?

I came to my senses, let Rice run free. These B2B shifts from him are so elite, genuinely 1 of 1. No need to anchor him unless we’re playing Europe’s elite

The aura Arsenal have when they set up for corners is one of the most astronomically insane things I’ve ever seen in football. Nicolas Jover you have legitimately changed my damn life.

William Saliba MOTM. The composure, setting the tempo in possession, 1v1 defending, etc, just everything. That’s one of his best performances in an Arsenal shirt and that’s saying something, given the fact that he has an enormous catalogue of faultless displays. Generational.

Lee Dixon said on the Peacock broadcast that United were practicing defensive corners by having the attackers start in the middle of the box, that’s not going to be much help when that not what we do on corners. Simply be better lol
It’s genuinely hilarious and the funniest part is that it’s all a skill issue, every other team has the same 24 hours as us and they can’t replicate what we do lmao

Rivals are so angry about that win saying “there’s no way you guys enjoy that” and quite frankly I do enjoy it. They can’t fathom us being the bullies now

On the ball, William Saliba is the best CB arsenal have ever had. He hasn't quite tapped into it fully but how he works possession play is something I haven't seen from too many CBs. If he can add a little more ambition to his passing he will become something scary.

Frustratingly passive start but a great night to maximize dropped Liverpool points;

- Saliba with a flawless performance especially 1 v 1 in iso, MOTM
- Kiwior having a good game in buildup was composed
- Rice with a brilliant 2 half, WC set piece delivery + great driving runs

I was having doubts about Rice as a left 8 earlier in the season because of some of the positions he was taking up, but now that it’s more of a neutral B2B role, I prefer him there. A player with that much ability should have more freedom, especially with his ball carrying.

Flexibility is often simplified to mean 'can play multiple positions' but it can also mean that they can play different iterations of the same role. Anthony Gordon's one of those who can be whatever kind of winger you need that day: in-behind, playmaker, goal-hound, dribbler, etc. Very useful.
