we put toxically obsessed competitors on a pedestal a lot in American sports culture so a story like this is kinda refreshing.

Sports is about balance because for every "omg that was the most magical thing ive ever seen" there is a "omg am I in some kind of torture simulation" that happens at 8:30 in the morning on a weekend
how can anyone not love sports the play, the performances, the moments are just so incredible
