It's absurd how much people take modern medicine for granted
For much of human history, cancer was largely just a death sentence.
By the 1970s, overall, it was about a coinflip, roughly 50/50 chance of surviving it.
Now, about 80% of people who get cancer survive at least 5 years. That's amazing!

As usual, @pwcdanica.bsky.social and Del. Thomas are leading where it counts. We should be seeing town halls on data centers in every county in Virginia. We are were are, facing an enormous surge in power needs, because the General Assembly has not acted on this issue.
On Wednesday, December 18 from 5-6PM, Delegate Josh Thomas and I will be hosting a town hall meeting at Battlefield High School in Haymarket to discuss JLARC's "Data Centers in #Virginia" report and bills we plan to file in response to that study during the 2025 Virginia General Assembly session.
