Books are my favourite but I’m also fond of family, friends, food and occasionally getting away from it all. Book reviews on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/CdjHr79LVW_/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link so hope to see you there too! 📚 🍷 ✈️

One of my favourite things I've ever written. Lovely to see it still going.
The wonderful TV adaptation of Leonard and Hungry Paul has ended. Can I, therefore, advise those suffering from @ronanhession.bsky.social withdrawal symptoms that there is one of his short stories available on t'inter web... www.irishtimes.com/culture/book...

Going to do this more often!Perfect way to start a day 📖 ☕️ ⏰ 🌅
I've virtually stopped reading in the evening due the keeping-eyes-open issue, instead I go back to bed with morning coffee and it's sooo much more enjoyable when my brain is fresh and alert, the switch has been quite the revelation

All Things Cease To Appear by Elizabeth Brundage
This book has been languishing in a TBR pile for about 5 yrs & I finally decided to give it a bash last week. So glad I did. Beautifully written literary thriller that’s quite unlike anything I’ve ever read before. Highly recommend. #bookreview

Fantastic & well deserved @ronanhession.bsky.social 👏🏼 👏🏼
Seeing it online is nice but there's nothing like pulling into the petrol station to see your book in inky print. No 38 in the @irishtimes.com list of 100 fiction books of the 21st century so far, and surrounded by so many huge talents. Genuinely honoured. My mother would have been proud.

Well done for making it to the end of January.

Stop whatever you're doing and read a book to reward yourself.

If you don't have a book, then buy one from an indie bookshop, that way you'll be making TWO people happy.

Love libraries 💖
Public lending right day!

My thanks to library users for all the support for my books. Great to know my three books are being borrowed and read (and hopefully enjoyed).

It was the libraries that made me a reader, so I'm honoured to play some small part in keeping that going.

Just noticed I’ve 👀 or 👂 to 99 books this year. Looks like I’m on track for a nice round 100 depending on my next choice & how much reading I can squeeze in by the 31st. I haven’t checked but I’ve a feeling that the audio books may actually be in the majority this year for the first time. #booksky
